On the fourth day, he chose to observe their explorations as they reveled in the paradise he had built. By the fifth day, the atmosphere was vibrant with festivities, lush foliage, and the spirit of adventure and self-discovery among its visitors. It was in this setting that he noticed the aroma of his creation was nearly celestial. La Belle opens with a luscious pear that tantalizes the senses.
